How To Install Microsoft Office 2013
Posted By admin On 08/05/19Hello,
Thank you for your response.
To resolve this issue let us know the following:
Are you receiving any error messages when Word and Excel shuts down/crashes?
If yes, send us the complete error message.
Have you tried launching Word and Excel in the Safe Mode? If not, you may try opening Word 2013 and Excel 2013 in the Safe Mode and see if these applications opens fine.
Follow the steps as suggested in the following Microsoft Article to open Word 2013 and Excel 2013 in the Safe Mode.
Note: The above article lists steps for all Microsoft Office 2013 applications, however, follow the steps to open the application/program in the Safe Mode for which you are experiencing an issue – in your case Word 2013 and Excel 2013.
Install Office 2013 on a PC. To begin the installation, depending on your browser, click Run (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox).
The above step opens Word and Excel in the Safe Mode. Check now if you are able to open and work in Word and Excel normally without the applications crashing. If yes, then you may follow the next set of steps in the above mentioned article to troubleshoot Add-Ins in Word 2013 and Excel 2013.
Hope the above information helps.
Thank you.The new 'click to run' installation method of Microsoft Office 2013 is, well, it's a pain in the <>. For even a single installation of Office, Click to Run flies in the face of this nifty little concept of 'backup media' that you may have heard of. If you're installing more than one copy of Office, however, Click to Run is simply not an option. Downloading the installer each and every time?! Like you don't have better things to do with your bandwidth.
Here's how to get around that. Best of all, it's 100% official and totally supported by the Evil Empire.
NOTE: The following steps have been verified to work with RETAIL medialess keys ONLY. Thanks to -T- in the comments below for helping identify this!
8 Steps total
Step 1: Redeem the Product Key
Go to www.office.com/setup, enter the Product Key from your Office 2013 keycard, and click Get Started.
Step 2: Create or Sign In to your Microsoft account
If you don't already have a Microsoft account, you create one here. There's no way around this, kids. Happily, the process is painless and only costs a little bit of your soul.
My soul was stolen by a ginger some 20 years ago, so this part was completely painless for me. YMMV.
Step 3: Look for Account Options
After selecting your country and language options, you'll be redirected to the My Account section of Office.com. Here, you'll notice a large, friendly-looking green button labeled 'Install'.
DON'T CLICK THAT BUTTON.
Instead, click the 'Install from disc' link under the 'Account Options' heading at the bottom of the page.
Watch x men movie 1 free. Storyline: In a world where both Mutants and Humans fear each other, Marie, better known as Rogue, runs away from home and hitches a ride with another mutant, known as Logan, a.k.a. Charles Xavier, who owns a school for young mutants, sends Storm and Cyclops to bring them back before it is too late. Magneto, who believes a war is approaching, has an evil plan in mind, and needs young Rogue to help him. Two mutants come to a private academy for their kind whose resident superhero team must oppose a terrorist organization with similar powers.
Step 4: Pick Your Poison
If you have money to burn, or are obsessively attached to branded media, or would rather use your bandwidth to download Season 3 of The Walking Dead, you can purchase an official Microsoft Office disc here.
If, like most of us, you are far too impatient to wait for Microsoft Fulfillment to send the disc via snail mail (and have already purchased the Blu-Ray of Season 3), clicking 'I want to burn a disc' is the option for you.
Step 5: Initiate the Download
Click the Download button, pick your save location, and fire up your Walking Dead Blue-Ray .. this will take a bit. You may also notice the product key off to the right side of the page. This is your 'real' product key. Y'know - the one you'll need to actually install the software. It's probably a good idea to jot that down somewhere handy. You'll have just enough time while the opening credits roll.
Step 6: Burn the IMG to Disc
Once the download is complete, you'll need to do something with the resulting IMG file. Burn it to disc, extract the files to a network share, mount it is a virtual CD, whatevs.
Step 7: OR ..
You can skip all of this crap and just download the installer from your TechNet subscription. The retail product key will activate normally on this installer.
Of course, TechNet is going away next year. You only have til 8/30/2013 (ish) to renew or purchase for another year. C'est la vie.
Step 8: UPDATE
6/27/2013 - Digital River (Microsoft's partner for digital distribution) offers links to Office 2013 downloads. You'll still need a valid key to install, but you can get Visio, Project, and Office Pro Plus here:
http://www.nsaneforums.com/topic/161604-digital-river-download-office-2013-disk-images-and-language-packs/
While Click to Run has it's place (At least, that's what people tell me. 'People' have been known to lie. I'm still pissed about the cake.), that place is NOT in the SMB. Using the handy steps above, you can download a fully-functional ISO of Office 2013 to use however many times you feel the need.

Long live image files! People still still ask why I carry an external drive loaded with disk images (and a copy of Virtual Clone Drive just in case).

Looks like this option no longer works. I don't have the account options section. There was no other choice but to download a small 547KB installer.

Odd, -T-, I just stepped through the How To and it works just fine. I'll PM you for more information.

I am having the same experience as -T- where the account options section doesn't exist. Tried in both IE and Chrome thinking it might be a browser issue.

I hate Microsoft for this new ClickToRun installer! I can't find a normal MSI or image of Office 2013 online anywhere for OEM and Microsoft is acting stupid like they don't understand what I need. I already bought Office 2013 pre-installed on a Dell laptop, without knowing it was the ClickToRun version (and not even aware of what that is until I had issues running Google Apps Sync for Outlook). It's so stupid that this is being forced on us and almost nobody is aware of this until it's too late. I wish Dell would have told me that they're including this ClickToRun version with the new system in the first place.

to Microsoft - need an MSI based installer for all editions of Office 2013 !
- Jalapenofuzzzysteve Jun 25, 2013 at 05:18pm
We use a software package that adds an add in to Outlook that is critical to my business and that add in will not work with ClickToRun. I was just given a huge run around on MS support calls that ended with me hanging up on the support person who kept telling me to refund my retail copies (which I obviously can't do) and get 365 professional plus as it's the only version with an msi. I am so sick of MS trying to push everyone into the future.

went though the above and the Img file just contains the CTR exe files :-(

For those looking to push Office 2013 via GPO, give MSI Wrapper a try.

Thought I would add, Dell provided me with this link to download H&B2013 iso.
Not sure how long it will work.http://officecdn.microsoft.com/pr/39168D7E-077B-48E7-872C-B232C3E72675/media/en-US/HomeBusinessRetail.img

I was pretty hopeful of your link @DaleCrowder but unfortunately it's a click to run installer. Still better then downloading it each time, but doesn't help with Outlook add-ins that aren't C2R compatible.

This guide was really helpful and I now have a disc I can use to install in a small office setup without the painful download. But when you download you get another key, does the orignal key from another PKC allow install or do you have to set another account up and start again?
- Cayennethommck May 13, 2014 at 02:16pm
Erm you seem to have got the wrong end of the stick.
If you are using Click-to-run setup in your business, you should be using the Office Deployment Tool to deploy it.
Cara menginstal microsoft 2017. This is a completely new way to work with installations, thanks Microsoft (the mind boggles), I've written an article about it on my blog
http://thommck.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/the-mdt-and-office-2013-click-to-run-jigsaw-puzzle/If you want to save yourself a headache, by Volume Licensed versions and then you can download and activate the traditional MSI version

@DaleCrowder link still worked for me to download a disk image of the Home&Business we usually buy. It is still Click2Run, but at least it lets me install the 64-bit version of Office instead of installing 32-bit Office on 64-bit Windows.
64-bit Office seems to crash less with large files, especially large Visio drawings. I don't understand Microsoft forcing 32-bit Office on 64-bit Windows.
